I was planning on using nutes, but I kinda want to grow all natural this year and try some next year. Can anybody tell me how much more your really going to harvest with nutes as opposed to none?

If you plan to grow indoors in soil the plant will use up all the nutes in the soil. Outdoors, even farmers feed nutes to there plants for a richer and plentful harvest.

i am BY NO MEANS trying to pass myself off as an expert, or even knowledgeable...but think about this: imagine your plant, full sized. that big, thick stalk, big chunky nugs, hundreds of leaves...that did not all come from just water and sunshine. Matter can be neither created nor destroyed, only change forms...all that green goodness has to come from SOMETHING...you can still go natural and feed them worm poop, bone meal, compost, what have you, but your plant still has to eat.

Wrong I have bushy thick indica's with huge fan leafs, and not as many small leafs. While my sativa has tons of leafs, but they're not nearly as bushy. Last year my plants weren't near as bushy as the ones I have this year, and I only nuted once this year, way after they already had tons of leafs. I think my plants are doing great so far, and they're in miracle gro soil. Like I said I only nuted once way after they already have the leaves they do. Also another thing I smoked about two dried up fan leaf's that were dying off and get a relatively decent buzz. Granted they were two whole fan leafs I smoked with back to back gravity bong rips.

I think I can tell the difference from a headrush which I have gotten from smoking bowls of weed, and the difference between being buzzed five minutes later from smoking weed. I know what a lack of o2 feels like, and I know what being stoned feels like. Before I smoked it I scoped the damn leaves to look at how many trich's the damn thing had on it anyways. I know their's some form of content on the plant. Lastly I haven't smoked in about a week, and haven't been smoking near as much as I usually would due to being jobless. My tolerance is low, my fan leaves have trich's on them, I'm not some kid on youtube I'm an adult, and lastly I know what the fuck being high feels like. Also I know that it wont last nearly as long. Fuck off. Another thing to add do you think all they smoked back in the 70's was bud? Wrong. Also it's a female plant so I'm sure that's another reason to add that I got something off it. Thc content higher. Another thing the stems do have trich's on them as well especially if it's dank bud they'll have trich's on them. Sometimes you just got to try these things for yourself to know.

I have OG #18 in the ground and Hawaiian Snow in a raised bed. The HS is a true Sativa dominate strain, while the OG is a hybrid. Both are still in veg, growing organically outside. No hydroponic or cannabis specific nutrients. Just cheap Kellogg brand soil and fertilizer that I pick up at my local Home Depot. The raised bed only cost $15-$20 to fill and hasn't needed any fertilizer. While the one in the ground was given three light feedings of Kellogg Organic All Purpose Fertilizer (npk 4-4-4).

HS is 6ft at the moment and OG $18 is a little over 5ft. They should double in size by October, assuming I don't do anything stupid like over feed or kill them with insecticides. :)

if you used miracle gro (sic) soil, you used nutes. quite a lot of them, in fact.

the number of leafs was also not terribly relevant, the point i was trying to make is that the matter that makes up your plant was not conjured out of thin air by stoner magic - it is PHYSICAL MATTER that was converted from PHYSICAL MATTER by means of photosynthesis. you cannot create something out of nothing.

Most dirt, even regular-ass topsoil, contains enough nutrients for a plant to LIVE. if you want your plant to YIELD...well...you're gonna have to put something in to get something out. And you did. Thank you for proving my point.

What guides my feedings is a soil test. They cost about $5 at Home Depot and tells me the level of NPK present and pH of the soil. Sending a sample off to a lab would be better, but in my experience, the Rapid brand soil tests are pretty darn good.

I didn't get omg I'm so baked, I'm so high high. I'm just saying I got a head change is all. Like I said I smoked pretty much two fan leaves, and they were dried out completely. You can not say what I did, and didn't get off it.

Like I said in one of my previous post I scoped the damn thing I saw trich's on it. I smoked it I felt a head change. Not baked, not stoned, not high. A damn fucking head change. Also like I said in yet another post. Do you think all they smoked back in the 70's was bud? No they smoked leaves as well.

listen, friend. make a donut-like mound of manure surrounding the bottom of your plant. as soon as it starts to flower, do the same with some bone meal. EWC can be used instead of manure. i mix the bone in with come well composted compost. rabbit shit is my favorite manure.

Animal shit is a great treat for your plants. You can probably pick up some earthworm castings and bat guano at a local nursery.
