What's the best way to spark your bowl?

Is there a "best way" to light your bowl?

What I mean is, is it better to hold the flame on the bowl the entire time or is it better to draw off a cherry?

Is using a "flame-thrower" lighter better than a regular lighter?

Just curious. Thought I'd make some small-talk :)

Damn man, I don't know about all the hate on a regular lighter, all the dealing with the beeswax rope. If you hate the flint smoke taste, light the lighter, wait 2 seconds then put the lighter to the bowl. Keep your lighter as far away from the dope as possible, you won't torch it. That what I hate... people torching the dope. Just keep the lighter as far away as possible, and then when it starts smoking keep it lit with your lungs. Corner the bowl, even when alone.

Alot of people swear by a soldering iron. I could never get it to work though. I prefer my trusty bic.

It's what I use. Clean glass + soldering iron = tasty. It is like a solar hit but I can chill on my couch. You can also use it as a tamper while pulling.

Did you take the metal part of so that the ceramic heating element was exposed?
