Thanks. I appreciate all of the information and opinions. If cannabis were researched and tested under controlled conditions, I believe that several medical conditions could be confirmed to be treatable with medicinal cannabis and many more medical conditions will be added to that list as treatable by cannabis. It's only a matter of time.
I have to agree that trial & error are going to be the best I can do for now. I'll begin some research and hopefully find a strain that claims to have the composition and properties to help alleviate the nerve pain. Then I'll order some fem seeds and start the trials with a few errors along the way.
I know that thc (a bonus) will still be in the strain I order, but it will still have the terpenes, other cannabinoids, limonene and thcva etc,. No I don't have a controlled area, but I have used the same grow methods, lights, nutrients, and supplements for all of my grows over the last 12 years. The grows have been consistent and fruitful. I can't complain. I just haven't found the right strain yet to control the pain.
I will let you know what my research shows. I can't go to a dispensary yet because Ohio has not provided the means to provide a medicinal supply. Currently there are only 3 cities that have passed a law to allow the dispensing of medicinal marijuana. Ohio is a long way off from getting things in place so I might as well bide my time with my own trials.
I just had neck/spine surgery last fall and am awaiting 5 more. I had to stabilize my spine from C3 through T2 with a laminectomy, fusion, screws and rods before I can get the others done. No Opioids for pain. Don't want them. Jack and Coke seems to work most of the time, but that has it's problems too.
