Yeah 2000 watts of HPS in a 5 by 5 is huge! I’d dim them too if I had one of the newer HPS ballasts.

2000 watts is crazy. I guess it's fine to change the bulbs and turn down the ballast if you have a ballast that can do that.

I'd also recommend the QB96's I like them a lot, get separate HLG185-54 drivers for each one. Small, light and easy to move and easy to angle too so you can have the light coming from both sides or overhead depending on the plant. Easy to move around.
