Is it better to have 24/7 hrs light or 18/6 though the whole vegetation? or is better to bring it down every other week like start at 24 then 22,20,18,16 then to 12/12?

24hours.. proven scientifically, more energy=more growth, unlike some other plants, cannabis does not need a rest period in veg..

but everyone prefers diff schedules. to each their own man. :blsmoke:

I stick to the basics (18/6) then (12/12) for flower. Im not sure if one way has any more advantages over another technique.

18/6, the 6 hours allows for root development , I used to do 24/0 and i switched to 18/6 because i noticed the better root development and the plant needs time to relax they actually perk up more with that 6 hours sleep...

Try giving them 24 hours darkness before putting them into bloom, i have found it gives them a boost as they are seraching for the light for those hours and some strains take some time to switch to bloom but the 24hours darkness gives them that extra kick they need :) good growing :)

See that's what im confused about. I thought roots are working 24/7. Does everyone think you get more power to the roots when they rest in dark or a waste of time in vegetation:?:

honestly couldnt tell you. i only used a timer for flower cuz i didnt wanna deal with sealing off light for my closet 6 hours a day.

there is negligible, if any difference...

so, i run 18 hr days in veg so i dont have to pay for the extra 6 hrs per day for the whole veg time...

keeps some $$ in my pocket...
