I've been taught that temps that low in a hydroponic system will cause slower growth. I never did any research on the issue, but my mentor Krusty was always adamant about water temps, and I don't know anyone that ever came close to his results, so I assumed it made a difference. Now Krusty is pretty old school, hell so am I for that matter, but I'm always looking to improve. With my summer outdoor (soil) grow on the otherhand, I do have temps in the low 60's, never a problem, soil tempers I guess.
