what's going on here.....?part 2

so I noticed this change almost immediately and posted pictures and got mixed responses...eventually fear overcame me so I removed the "imperfection"(in my eyes). I am going to quick dry and sample however, I am going to post pictures and request again, a conclusive diagnosis.

Im a fairly new grower, last year was my first time growing outdoors. I found a whole cola that was nearly as bad. It was caterpillars that I found. Tear that bud open and you might find a trail of caterpillar SH@! and a tunnel down your main stem.

AGAIN, im new at it 2'nd year growing.
 
ok well subsequently after breaking it up a tad there was no sign of creature infestation...someone else's opinion?
 
You've got catapillars. I can tell cause the first pic only part of the flower is bad. Catapillar ate the veins or something that goes to that flower.
 
I think I was lucky to catch mine before my buds got that bad. This year using organic ways (not organic nutes, old hippy ways) have reduced my caterpillars by only two this year. I found them like the day they landed. So far everything looks free of them. I had one under an oak tree canopy and it lost two 2' or more colas. I put a clear plastic tarp over it and noticed several on it each morning.
 
watch them carefully. If you notice webbing leading down from the sky to your plants immediately follow that web and search that bud carefully. I notice they mainly land on leaves and eat some of it then move into the bud. (USUALLY) I watch for see-through leaves swisscheesed by the worm. Then I search the bud. I have found only two so far this year. 0 bud loss.
If you find more then drive 4 poles into the ground (I used PVC) and place some 5-8mil plastic over the four posts. Use CLEAR plastic and you will find MANY small caterpillars. You need to look closely, they are as small as an inch worm when they first land.
 
Oh I almost forgot, I had only two colas effected last year, I found worms in there that were the size of a AAA battery. I dont know if I said it here but one acted like it was pissed I pulled it out of my bud and tried to bite my thumb. Funny huh? The worm crap looks like pebbles of dirt.
 
well I've had borer problems, and was wondering how to diagnose/treat the caterpillars, I have no clue what their poop looks like, but do they reproduce quickly?where would said worm be residing, and would a spray with pytherin or w.e work?
 
Possibly a bud rot, its centralized to only one bud though. It looks like my buds did if I let them go.

A caterpillar that has caused that damage would be easily seen. I would as a precautionary measure check humidity and other enviromental aspects before deciding.

As for getting rid of the Caterpillars I have a friend that uses a Garlic spray on his buds... downfall is like everything you spray onto your buds late in the season can change the flavors.
