yup, either a baguette or simply french stick. we sell a lot of different varieties of french bread in the UK

that's right, you're in UK..... forgot about that :)

you should give some of our recipes a try, and hell, post some of your ethnic cuisine if you cook..... I always like new things... just no fish n chips :)

Let me hear some Artichoke recipes if you have any... my fav veggie of all time!
I dont eat them, but stuffed artichokes are common here..... I'll try to find you a good one.

*here you go*

2 tbsp olive oil 6 jumbo artichokes 1 cup mayonnaise 1/4 cup mayonnaise 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp fine salt 1/4 tsp fresh black pepper 1/4 cup bread crumbs, dried 1/2 tsp tarragon, dried 2 tbsp chopped scallions 2 tbsp chopped parsley leaves 2 tsp grated lemon zest 1 cup crabmeat DirectionsLightly oil baking sheet with olive oil and place in the oven to preheat.
Trim and clean the artichokes by removing the lower 3 to 4 rows of outer leaves, and leaving 1/2-inch of stem. Trim the sharp tips off the remaining leaves with kitchen shears. In large pot, boil or steam artichokes 30 to 45 minutes, or until knife easily enters the base of the leaves. Remove from pan and let cool.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In medium mixing bowl, mix mayonnaise and Worcestershire sauce. When smooth, season with salt and pepper, to taste. Mix in bread crumbs, tarragon, scallions, parsley, lemon juice, lemon zest, and crab meat until well blended.
Remove leaves from cooled artichokes, and scoop out choke inside. Generously fill artichoke with crabmeat mixture (approximately 2 to 3 tablespoons per artichoke), until a small mound is present in each, Drizzle each lightly with olive oil. Bake stuffed artichokes for 20 minutes, or until tops are lightly browned. Serve immediately.

i was told that its not a vegie but in a class of thorny weeds
It is in the Thistle family I believe, but anything which produces a flower bud (the choke) is considered to be a veggie....

sounds great... it's a variation of what I already do...but will definitely give it a go when I find the right ones...so many look anemic to me.... they have to be tight and FAT for me to purchase them. I have tried to grow them, but so far the floriduh sun creams them at some point. I'll try again this fall...perhaps I will have better luck with them.

Sounds great.... and a little bit like me.... though I just shaved my beard down ... I also do not wear shoes... at all. Back in my wetland days...all these ppl would show up for inspections in the latest LL Bean garb and hip boots...and I'd show up in shorts and no shoes.... blew their minds every time.

Pizza FTW!!!

Tonite I am having home made fried chicken with grilled veggies, and blueberry cobbler for dessert.
