true that. cold weather comfort bait at it's best.

i've stuck some diced chuck boob in spices n yoghurt for a curry tonight. have to make them fairly tame for the boss though...

Currys' can be great without heavy heat.....They use to only use Pepper in Indian cooking before the chile pepper was brought in from Spain many moons ago.

What's everyone doing for Xmas? Xmas Eve we are having Beef Wellington, then Xmas day I am going Free Range Roast chicken, can't be doing with Turkey, plus we'll need to order one if we want it as they don't sell too much Turkey in Holland.

for the first time ever i'm going out for christmas dinner. costing near a ton per man so it best be bloody good.

I'm not much of a turkey fan either, i prefer goose. i picked up a 4 bird roast yesterday though for boxing day chicken, turkey, duck and goose with pork sausage stuffing.

4 bird roast. holy moly, they stuff all those birds inside each other? why not stick a bit of beef in the middle for good measure with a glass of port just to increase your chances of gout, lol.

you know i love some rich food haha. I did actually spend a fortune on a turducken from a butcher a few years back, it was the most disappointing waste of money, was loads of stuffing and a slither of goose and pigeon. this year Aldi's finest for a tenner!

That's crazy. The place where I was a butcher, selling to all the Michelin star places, it was 55 quid for a 4 bird. Ended up at about 7kg of meat :-) pain in the ass making them. And what's the point in all dem birds if you're not gonna have the carcasses to use afterwards :-(

yup 100 % agree man. first xmas in my own place cooking for my gf's family so i thought why not go all out. wish i'd gotten a goose or a couple of pheasants

For christmas, I will likely be traveling overnight on a trip to visit friends out of state. However, family is coming over that morning so I am thinking about posting some of the breakfast stuff I make. Found a recipe/idea to make a kind of french toast casserole. Also planning on doing a couple quiches with some bacon and pancakes of course :)

Hope everybody isn't stressing too much over the holiday season, slow down and enjoy it bongsmilie

Looking forward to seeing what you conjur up 2Para.
Most of my Xmas shopping is done, so I can concentrate on the food and drink now (less stress, more fun for me). Case of Zatte from the local Brouwerij will be purchased natrually. I watched Tom Kerridge Xmas dinner last night and I think I'll nick a couple of his ideas (particularly streaky bacon filled with stuffing!!) Also think I'll do his Spiced Orange Cake...in fact all his stuff looked top notch.

I'm already thoroughly sick of xmas tbh. Next year I'm going abroad. Sod the family they can suffer their own soggy veg alone. I want bbq and beach.
