whats better for a closet?

so that 1 hps will cover blue spectrum, and red spectrum?

or just like cfl i need to bulbs? and i switch them

no hps is on the red spectrum...but plants will veg better on a red spectrum than they will flower on a blue spectrum....i have some buddys that run larger scale full room and full house opps and they use only hps through the whole cycle....you are also in a confined space so you might not want the type of vegitative growth that blue spectrum gives you....i personally only use hps all the way through..

what is ur setup? just 1 single 400watt hps?

I would get a good ventilation and go with the 400w hps..
I tried the cfl flowering and won't do it again....
If your going to get a 400 why not get a 600w it's no that much more and has a lot more output...

i have 2 150 hps in an inline cooltube set up over a 2x3 space in a closet and 1000w hps over a 5x5 area in another room...

im looking at it like this
2x3x10
that mean 60cubic feet
600watt hps = around 81,000lumen's
which means 1350 lumens per cubic foot
which means i should get a decnet grow on 2 plants right?
and all il need is that hps i wont need a Metal Halide for vegging and then switch to hps for flowering?

also since 600w hps is a lot more powerful, this means a lot hotter, so i need more fans right?

here is where i learned how to build mine...i can send you a pic tommorrow....infected..this is something you should look into also...its great for keeping temps down...

awesome man i will definitely make one. u get all the supplies at a hardware store or ebay. and how long it take u to make?

yeah...600w is a little much for your space....you will grow some supper dense nugs with that much light...but it will be a little harder to cool and vent than a 400w...just keep that in mind....

i got the glass tubes online...but if you have a beverlys craft store anywhere around you they will have them...everything else i got from home depot....i tweaked mine a little so it took about an hour to make...if you follow the directions on that one it should take about 30 mins or so...

ive always been told to change the bulbs every 2 grows....but they will last longer than that....

i wish they showed more pics
but i think i can manage

icic, that one you linked me to looks like exactly what i need.. and a great price.. its just.. idk if it will fit in my closet.
im wondering how big that is.

seems like just the reflector part of that set up is bigger then my closet by the picture.

I have one 400 HPS in one smal closet my big problem was the ventilation...
You need one realy good fan to take the worm air hot fron inside to outside, don't buy one cheap because u can have big problem like me, and one fan to suck soon fresh air in...
Is better you make test before you start to grow for u not get panic like me....
Now i have one fan 150mm suck the air worm to outside, and 100mm to put fesh in...
my temperature is 80 to 85...
Just make this test bro...and you not gonna have to much problems...
Think to about the reflections....Myra is the best you got 92%.-97%...
Just try before...ok
