Ya ppm is around 300 out the faucet, so does that mean ill never b able to put a good amount of nutes to the plants since the ppm is already high?

ive read to not add the out of tap ppms andthen there some that say to
but I count it, ro filer will drop that to 50 or so, but you will have to sup
cal mag as long as you use it.

hydrologic stealth RO filters are good.
300ppm isnt THAT bad... I've definitely grown with worse tap water.

If you do hydro and dont have good water use a R/O filter they are all okay you can even get the GE ones at Home Depot. Just remember when you use R/O water you have to add back Calcium/Magnesium aka " Cal/Mag". I dont drink the tap water here in Phoenix so I wouldnt give it to my plants especially my medical plants.

how much cal mag do you have to add? whats acceptable ppm for water out the tap?
Depends how many gallons you are running, out of the tap is all up to you people on here grow with high PPM tap water, I dont but others do. If it were me I wouldnt use any tap water over 200 PPM shit I wont even use it if its in the 100's but thats just me. Different tokes for different folks.

For seedlings you can add 2ml - 3 ml per gallon
In flower 5ml- 10ml per gallon but I never really go over 6 ML.

ill save you a bunch of money on this shit right now. dont spend your money on an ro system from the hydro store you will pay a small fortune!! costco has a great 200 36gpd ro system and if you need faster water dispensing per day you upgrade the membrane so you can have a 100+ gpd ro system brand new for around 300 ... or you can go to the hydro store and drop like 500 for a 50gpd ro system. im spacing out on the company who makes the ro system but its quality

i think even home depot has a perfectly fine RO system for around 350 also... all of which are just as good as the hydrologic ones seen at almost every hydrostore.

ok i looked at the one at lowes but im just not sold on all that water the system uses thats wasted, another question ive read alot on how high to flood my table with my 6x6 cubes and they say to flood all the way to the roots but no matter how much i adjust the drainage it still only comes half way up the rockwool is this ok ???

im not sure on which one they have lowes but if you have any costco's around you id reccomend checking them out i think you can get a guest pass without buying a membership

and i know for a fact that your rockwool should soak it all up regardless if its submerged

with growdan it will wick water like a sponge so if it went up the cube a inch you would be fine
