Whats a good kelp foliar spray?

RAW NPK Kelp stays in suspension for me, the major key is to have an emulsifier like silica in your solution, also most liquid base nutrients come pre-blended with emulsifiers and suspension agents. This is chemistry these "UR BUYIN WATER BUD" guys don't understand. Mixing Dry Nutrients is tricky if you don't use the right components.

I would use Yucca & Silica and still put a few drops of Peppermint Castile Soap in the mix. I never have had it hurt my roots or plants and I spray my pots twice a week and plants once a week top to bottom. Doesn't matter if lights are on if the mix is properly made you shouldn't get burn unless its some seriously intense close light.
 
I'm sure the same people saying bottled nutrients are overpriced are saying it about bottled water and having kidney stones and other health issues from drinking their tap water.

Each to their own. No reason to bash anything really. There's pros and cons about practically everything in life.

For me living in a pretty unpopulated deserted area dry ferts is what I have access to and what's affordable. If I where living in the states I would still be running Dyna Gro.

Polysorbate20/Tween20 is a very cost effective and stable emulsifier/surfactant. Cheers!

I haven't tried that brand, but I've had others which the kelp has fallen out of suspension in my res. I do use Silica and Fulvic with my nutes as well. The Clean Kelp I'm using now I have no issues with. It might be a bit more expensive than the soluble kelp powder, but I'm willing to pay it for a superior product.

I use the recipe below because it feels the most basic spray to go to, to get the kelp / fulvic effect. Many ingredients could be added or replaced in order to feed or protect the plant, for example many bottled nutes at low concentration. I just coud't tell about the right amount of each tea and neem to use and / or interactions with all ingredients. Maybe considering spraying leaves with clear water at some point, if using compost tea?
*Preparation, ph test and all sucks a bit and for now I keep it simple. That said, could be a good moment to correct a minor deficiency with the right nute if you spotted it earlier.

Dyna-Gro NEEM Oil & Pro-TeKt

My recipe for 6 liter (1.5 gallon) sprayer.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pro-Tekt (Potassium Silicate, Silica)
  • 1 oz Nitrozyme (Seaweed Extract, Kelp)
  • 1 ounce Fossil Fuel (Humic Acid, Trace Elements, Vitamins & Minerals)
  • 1 tablespoon NEEM OIL (Organic Leaf Shine, Insecticide & Fungicide) ~Dyna-GRO just doesn't pay for certifications on OMRI cause they want to keep their products affordable.
  • 1/2 teaspoon dish soap or 4-5 drops. (Dish Soap helps everything blend together and the oil not float on the surface of the water)
NEEM oil is thick so its good to always have a little bowl of warm water to mix it into and let the container (lid on) sit in the warm water to help loosen it up to the point you can shake it.

The spray combo above has worked on dozens of genetics for me and I haven't had bugs or diseases on my plants in over 6 months spraying this above mix weekly. I used to have issues with White Powdery Mildew, Fungus Gnats & Thrips (I know, eeek!)

Try to mix only what you are going to use for that spray session. Read the bottle for dosing if you plan to change up the recipe or how much water you plan to mix in.

Is pro-tekt silica better than power SI original? I use power SI do I have to switch to pro-tekt?
 
I love the kelp, monosilicic acid, fulvic acid, Southern Ag GFF foliar combo for foliars in Veg. I also use the same combo to soak my Root Riot cubes for cuttings.
