What up stoneheads???? my sh!t is growin goooood

got 2 big bud 2 blue mystic sprouted ... got one more seed germinating still but think its a goner. that one is gangi.

i'm using an old speaker box to grow in. its 38" tall 16" wide and 16" deep (internal)

with 11 26w CFLs 6500k for veggin

plan is to sog or scrog or LST dependent on how many females i get. if i get 3 females i'll prolly sog/lst it ... if i get 2 females i'll scrog ... if i get one female i'll LST spiral style to even the canopy

i got 3 pc fans cooling this right now. may add a 4th. since only 8 of the lights are on and temps are around 84-85*

they were planted on saturday the 8th and sprouted on wednesday the 12th. so i am on day 6 right now.

check the pics and get back to me tell me pros and cons later.

this is my first grow so i'm still learning as things happen.

they look happy and the leaves are reaching upwards for the light.

Good set up! Your babies look happy. How are you going to adjust the "floor" as the plants get higher?

well one of the BigBuds got heatstroke yesterday. still standin tall but is all curled up so i cut back on lights and moved them farther away from the bulbs... i need a better fan setup.

anyone ever use a glass divider to keep the heat above and suck that air out? just like a cool tube on a HPS or MH light setup?

you'd think you could get the bulbs super close then.

look to the back of my cab... there are shelve slots. i just got two brackets under that board and can move it up and down about a 1/2" to 1" at a time pretty sweet but its one reason my air flow sucks. its better to use the whole box and move the lights upppp might convert to this if i can't get the heat down.

the gangi sprouted yesterday finally after almost a week in the soil.

the one bigbud is still curled up but is still soft so i know it isn't dead. and the other big bud has some brown faded leaves which was also from the heat.

the blue mystics are growin fast now... starting the 3rd node already, on day 12

going out of town today till tuesday. hope they are still alive!!

I got a question. Do you put the back or something enclosing the case when your not taking pics of it. If that's the case your just circulating the heat inside instead of either reducing it, or exhausting it. I'm sure if that's the case you can figure it out from there.


P.S. that thing does look pretty cool.

see the fan at the bottom back.... thats the intake
see the fan at the top in the back... thats the exhaust
the fan on the board is just to help move air upwards to the exhaust because my shelf is a little big.

i do enclose it... but then the intake brings fresh cool air in and the exhaust sucks it out.

ok well here are some new pics

they are almost a month old now and are lookin good besides the nute burn on the BIGBUD correct me if i'm wrong but i double fed it within 2 days

i only have one BIGBUD and one Blue Mystic left after i scorched them on accident.

they are both showing signs of female preflower which would be awesome but i know it isn't a for sure yet.

here are more updated pics. i almost let them dry up too much.. all the nodes were drooped almost straight down but after one day of good water they are all perked up and growing even faster now.

i'm lost on what to do. my new grow space doesn't seem like it will be done in time and these two plants need to flower now if i want them to fit in this space.

i'd like to take a clone or two from these and flower them to confirm the female preflowers.

they were topped to slow down growth. since these are just my mothers.

i took a clone from each that i will be flowering as soon as i see some roots. they have been in that dome for 4 days now. is it time to take them out? no roots out the bottom yet.

also do the pre flowers look female?

ah this was my test box basically. i got two cabs twice the size now.. got 13 plants flowering in one and the other i am setting up to start veggin more strains.

basically ignore this journal a new one will be up tonight or tomorrow.

oh and that bushy ass blue mystic turned male so had to trash it.

gunna grow some afghan kush next.
