WHAT ZOOM for looking at trichomes

hey i have a 15xzoom jewellers loupe laying around at my mates house he said i can have. i was just wondering if 15xzoom would be ok to tell the colour of the trichs?

i think i heard from somewhere i needed x20 at the very min

x 25 is what I've used. Here's a really inexpensive tool that will get the job done.

i heard 30-40, but couldnt you just try it and see

just go to radio shack and get the 30x pocket microscope. It has a led light to help see. I think its about $12. It works just fine for me.

15x should work . Go in there this morning and give it a shot.

I personally use a 10,000x Zoom lens magnifier. I have smaller ones I also use.. but this huge one really lets me see the trichs. I can actually see inside the 'glandular' trichs.. which are the ones that have a dome top to them.. kinda like a snow globe housing, only these contain THC.. not snow.

Pretty cool getting to see the plant and its textures and everything.. that close. Lets you see the plant from a different perspective IMO.

but yea, the smaller ones work just fine as well.

I personally use a Carson Zorb and use my computer. A 19" screen to see for an old man.
