What you put under your fabric beds?

I was considering trying to put a 2x4' fabric bed like so:

Into my 2x4' tent

The biggest thing that has been holding me back is what to do with runoff water? Or does that not exist with large beds?

There is a spill tray in my tent but with my 5 gallon pots I often have some serious runoff at times and I imagine that could be pretty kooky with a 2x4' bed.

You shouldn't be seeing any runoff in an organic grow.

I will be trying one soon my concern is it being too cool on my cement basement floor but this is also a good point. You SHOULDN'T be seeing run off... but mistakes can happen. I'm curious on this also

My tent is on my shop slab. Underneath I put those shop pads that interlock together over a layer of cardboard. Insulates the whole tent floor, and I have set five-gallon and 15-gallon pots, and 17-gallon SIPs, right on it with no problems (gets sub-zero F outside for weeks at a time).

I put mine up on pallets and in old 4x4 flood tables. Just makes cleanup around it easier.
If I had one I would very much use it, but I think buying a brand new one just for that purpose I think is expensive... I might try that shower liner idea.. I don't have much over 7 feet of head space to work with (in a basement. I'm thinking some foam board under a small frame made of 2x4s and that shower liner, basically to catch any excess water just in case.

If you are going to use it for years i Would ,use the waterproofing system that you’d use for bathrooms i’l make a small drawing , you can get them in one part waterbased or two part , and since you are using 2*4 you could add drainage, am sure you could do it for around 200$max image.jpg

My 3x6 sits in a flood and drain tray on a frame made of 2x4 with wheels. Just recently revamped my space and this was one of my upgrades. Tray and frame with wheels is only like 8”, but I am lucky enough to have 10’ ceiling.

You don’t water to runoff with organics. I wouldn’t place it on the bare floor of your living room carpet. But tent floors are pretty water proof and a 2x4 bed is a lot of soil, it’d take a bit to water to runoff.
