What would you do?

so heres the deal. I've got a custom iguana cage, that is no longer occupied.

I just finished my first grow in it, and ran into a ton of problems.

I want to use it again, but make some modifications.
its a 2 foot X 5 foot X 7 foot and has two plexiglass doors already installed.
there is hole to run cords out of, but thats it. its bare.

What would you do to it?
how would you do lights, exhaust, CO2?
pretend cost is not a factor (in reality it is) but just pretend.
hydro or dirt? ScrOG? SOG? HID or CFL?

the biggest problem ive had is heat. just FYI

just though id throw it out there. Maybe someone has an idea i haven't thought of.

thanks

Ok here we go..

Parts needed

LARGE diamond tip drill bit - preferably the size of the fans on a pc fan, not the size of the whole thing, just the spinning fan inside it. (see attached image for clarification)

Small diamond tipped drill bit - For drilling four holes like a box around the large hole so you can Fix your intake and out take fans.

Three PC fans - One for intake, one for out take and one for inside to keep air circulated.

Timer
- for lighting..

CFLs - As many as you can fit in the top without the bulbs touching.

Light Fixtures - For the CFLs

DIY Carbon scrubber - about $10 to make, See the link below, (it's full of links to DIY carbon scrubbers) use during flowering.

Reflective material - Panda film or Mylar.

-------------------------

LST and Scrog. Soil or hydro is up to you.

If you are looking into hydro check this grow micro hydro grow..

A cheap light which you could very well do, which may be better than CFLs is a home Security light, check the following link for details.

International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums - converting a home security light into a remote ballast grow light (the OG FAQ)

If you are not sure about how well CFLs can grow weed check this link out..

International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums - ***DrBud Takes CFL SOG to the Next Level***

He uses 3/4 pop bottles to grow with and gets very decent buds..

Hope this helps.

p.s.
The image will show you the idea i had for fixing the pc fans to the box.
You could always drill out the hole on the plexi glass, saving you money.
(won't have to buy diamond drill bits)

Just remember, Out take HIGH. intake LOW.
Heat rises, best to exhaust it while it's hottest right? ;)

Seeing how your asking what i would do im gonna say...
if your gonna use some cfl's id rather in my personal preference use some t'5s. ive heard good things about them and they seem to work good. get the 4 foot 4bulbs fixtures and it is about 2 feet wide so it will cover the whole area and it is a little more than 4 feet long.check measurment before you buy theya re different going from one brand to another.
as with airflow i would def drill at least 3 holes.i would get an inline fan pulling the air out with the inline fan inside so it can raise up and down with the light and have it connected to some ducting leading to a hole going outside.that should take the heat from the light out of the box.if smell would be a problem then add a carbon filter.with the other hole add a fan adding air into the box preferablly 2 of em if the one fan isnt strong enough so oyu get adequate airflow. also put a fan inside if there still isnt enough to make sure you have the plants moving to ensure the best growth of the stems in early stages and adequate co2 movement.
that should be it on the setup.
i would then grow in soil and seeing how oyu have it at least 5 feet tall i would put 4 plants in there in a line and let them veg for a minute and fully grow or fit 8 in there 2 rows of 4 and try to do lst.i dont know if the 2 feet dee is enough for this.and then that shoudl be enough if it is 2 feet dep by 5 feet long by 7 feet high.if not seperate it and then have a mother chamber or a clonign are if 3 feet is enough.
good luck you can make this into s sweet setup just read around and write the designs down and youll figure it out. good luck man
