Also, I wanted to add that I could have flipped this plant 3 weeks ago. This is my fault for falling off my perpetual "shedule". I was lazy and it really wouldn't hurt me if this plant had to go, so I just never got around to it. Also, the net in the picture is just there for a visual reference of where my canopy is to the light. I think what I'm going to do is lower the net and just try to lst the main tops down as far as possible. Obviously prune off all the little suckers or w.e. it is you guys call the scraggly branches. If that works, I'm going to flip asap. If not, I will try topping before I toss it, but it will probably get to Bush for the tent. So I agree with other

Good morning Riu. I'm going to try to fit my mother plant from previous Harvest into my flower tent. It has gotten quite large. I have clones vegetating right now so I don't necessarily need to flower this plant if it's going to cause too many problems in flower. So I'm asking what would you guys do? Would you top the plant and then throw the net down on top of it. Obviously I can't scrog it right now in that space. Would you supercrop it to the desired level, then flip. Would you forget about this plant and just keep vegging out its clones instead and flower then when ready?(I have a perpetual grow). I have mh in my flower tent because I know I'm going to have to let it heal a little from whatever I do. The strain is Adam's OG. I'm going to post several pics from different angles to give you a better feel for the situation. I'll be happy to provide more info. I am going to have to make a decision pretty soon. Thanks a lot. I think I will add a poll. Just have to figure out how to do that ha

These were flowered out under a plasma light, just as they are. Plasma has magnificent penetration that HID doesn't have. I think the smartest thing would be to do what @xtsho suggested and chop it apart into many clones and SOG it. If you want you could thin her inner vegetation and supercrop her. Your problem will be height (supercrop will solve that) and density of vegetal material impeding HID penetration.

Best of luck on this.

I think in a tent anything over 36 inches is a waste so I would thin it out a bit, take cuttings to reduce some height, throw the net over it and remove all the lower stuff until i achieve my 36 inches. It probably wont stretch too much being that big already. That's assuming your flower tent is tall enough

To everyone, thank you for the numerous opinions. This is what I'm doing basically...just trimming and bending and lowering the net until I get the canopy I want. I was more asking out of curiosity, what you guys would do. Thanks for the replies but I decided to just do what I had planned. Just thought there might be something I want thinking about.

What you've done is what I was trying to say. Looking good

Hulk smash! I was a little concerned the branches wouldn't bend enough without breaking but so far so good. Hopefully I'll be comfortable to flip her soon. Shame on her for not watching her size. I'm just going to bring the net down lower and lower over the next few days. Get er done one way or another

I think I'm also going flip her tomorrow and just continue her training in the first week of flower. Also this will be the first time I try the idea of using mh light for the first week or two to slow down stretch. Adam's OG, she likes to stretch

You have to imagine, that your going to gain roughly 2-3x the height in flower.

Super cropping only does so much, as the stems pop right back up fairly quickly. I use supercropping moreso to keep the canopy even, than i do to limit height... otherwise id be supercropping in multiple spots on the same stem at multiple times through flower (not that that is necessarily bad, but i dont like doing that if i dont have to)

Id suggest cutting her WAY down. You already have it lollipopped nicely, so id just chop the top half of the upper growth right off (defoliate whats left as well, if thats what your going to do), give her a week or so to recover, then go into flower. You'll likely still need to throw a screen over her just to control and spread the growth out.

You guys need to read. I already flipped it. I knew what I was going to do. I wanted to know what you guys would do in such a scenario,...as in maybe I could be more efficient with my perpetual schedule. I already posted this pic and post, but here it us again. Thanks for the replies but this thread really should be over. Not being a dick, just being straightforward tonight. Im tired . But heres a pic from yesterday. I didnt really know if the branches were going to bend enough but seems like the did. I already flipped it and just plan on cutting out the small stuff over the next week or two and lowering the net over the next couple days. I should have just copied and pasted my last post lol...too medicatededed .

I've been doing it pretty much the same way with this strain (Adam's OG). Last time, the plant was just as out of control....tamed her a bit and flip it.

Thanks for all of that advice. Also, it doesnt sound like you've been super cropping right or for the right reasons. Most people tie the branch to itself at a 90 degree angle or tie to to something. Depending on how far down you super crop it, will determine how effective it is. If the reason is for lowering the height of the plant.

Bigger roots bigger buds
=bigger plants. You are missing a lot of pieces of the equation to cultivation. you should read more thoroughly if you are going to give advice on here. anyway, I would close this thread if i knew how. Its no longer relevant . have a good day everyone
