CLR is what I'm currently growing. What you tried was TrainWreck. You remember, Med ... it was those perfect buds that totally astonished you? Remember? ... you said: "Golly, Gee, Vi ... what's all that white stuff covering these buds? Damn, it looks like they are covered in tiny, sparkling, diamonds!! Why, I'm amazed ... I've never seen anything like that on what I grow!"

Well, he's obviously a guy who buys the cheapest shit he can find. You know ... like the $80 a zip stuff. If he would pop a half a grand for a zip of good weed, the top of his head would blow off. :blsmoke:

A zip is an ounce. In the olden daze ~lol~ an ounce used to be called a "tin", a "lid," or "four fingers" ... as in a "four-finger lid." It was measured (not weighed) by holding your four fingers up to the baggie. If the weed came up to the fourth finger, you had a full lid. Now to bring you up to speed in the modern age of ganga smoking, all of us old farts had to learn the metric scale. One eighth = 3.5 grams. One zip = 28 grams. And an "elbow" is one pound or 448 grams. A "key" is a Kilo or 2.2 pounds.

Damn, ya gotta be a mathematical genius just to deal with this stuff. Who says stoners are stupid?

Oh yeah, I forgot ... a "tin" was sold in a tin Prince Albert tobacco can. Don't know if yer old enough to remember those. They were just perfect for holding a "Four Finger Lid." ~lol~

Now then, you may be wondering ... "Jezzes ... how old is Vi, anyway?" Well, I smoked my first joint in 1953. For the mathematically challenged among you ... that was 55 years ago when I was in the 9th grade. And don't let anyone kid you ... pot is NOT addicting, I can quit anytime I want to. :hump:

Damn neva knew about the 4fingers thing.
I can eyball an onion and only be off by a gram or two.
A bang here is 36oz flat instead of 1000bones(35.2onions) we do 1008 to make it even.

Yea GA. onion cause its round and whole like a ounce. Aka half a onion(14bones)
Yea a bang is a key. its easier to just do 36onions.

Alot of people come up with our own terms to keep people from knowin wat we say and switch em up when people start using them.

I know of at least 10 diff way to say ounce and not no crazy shit either.

So many people use different terms fo their measurements here zip is real common tho.

If i'd use some of these terms that pple use down here i'd have everyone like wat:-?.

NOW you're talking my language. I remember the days of the three and four finger lids. $12 for a fat one. :) 8th grade art class, we were doing pottery. So, I made a pot with a lid for a lid of pot. I wish I still knew where that thing was, it was actually one of my nicer pieces.

I know the amounts, too. But a zip, TOTALLY new to me.

WOW, you were really snakebit? That must have smarted. I used to throw some duct tape over the drain in the bathtub and break down my Kilos/lbs in it. Kept everything contained nicely, Kilos=32 OZs to sell, 4+OZs for my smoke, Lbs only kept a couple of OZs. The rip was when the Mexicans got smart and started selling Lbs instead of Kilos. Funny, but the price for an Lb. wasn't that much less than the previous price for a Kilo. I used to keep a salad bowl filled with weed on my living room table, for guests to enjoy. Smoke all you want, but don't take any home unless I either give it to you or you buy it.

wasn't weed sold with the leaves, bud, stems everything in the bag back in the "old days"
We took out the logs. Yeah, they pretty much put the whole plant into a press and pressed it into a brick, Sometimes they would remove the main stem, sometimes not. Back then, only the special stuff, IE Acapulco gold, Columbian gold, Panama red, Zacatecas, etc was all flower tops, the commercial was the whole plant, still got you stoned though. On average you paid 2-3 times as much for the good stuff, IE a kilo of Columbian gold was about 150 Bucks, regular weed, 50 bucks, pretty good profit in weed back then. A regular job paid around 250-300 a week and you could turn a kilo and make 250 bucks, so dealing weed could be a full time job and was for a lot of people, I was only part time as I had a job, but still managed to turn almost a kilo a week. I supplied most of the stoners at my work and a few others, plus I also sold Kilos and Lbs. Now known as the good old days. Got busted with 30 lbs. Did 15 days and 2 years probation and a 1,000 dollar fine. Since have had my record expunged.
