What went wrong?

I would tend to agree, a pH of 5.5-6 is a little low for a soil grow...but, it seems to be moot at this point. I was looking at the Gaia Green website. It appears you may have over ran your nutrients... and I saw this statement below (perhaps there's some truth to it?). Never the less, carry on as you've noted...sounds like you're moving in the right direction now. Good luck.

"*Note: Do not over water! Do not let your soil completely dry out! Maintain moist but not soggy soil for happy healthy plants."

Would you say 6.5 - 7 is a better range? I have been looking into coco for the next grow, opinions? I feel I'd have full control over nutes much like dwc

Coco is 5.5-6.0, just like hydro. Tend to stay closer to 5.5 because of the swing.

Soil is usually a 6.0-6.5, my preference, also because of swing. That's only in 2 gallon or less pots because there's not as much soil to buffer the ph.

Oh ok, thanks 3rd monkey and canna country! What do you guys run in?

Lord hill I've read either here or on another forum that crop king seeds is a crapshoot when it comes to genetics. That could be the problem for sure.

Judging by what I've read the Early Miss still has 40 or so days left hopefully I can salvage her.

I run a coco/compost blend and feed tea. Guess you could say I'm a naturalist of sorts. Nothing against bottled nutes, just my way is free other than the coco but I reuse it.

I run straight coco and Jack's 321....super straight forward, easy and it works! Like you. I started out in soil and gave it the ol' boy scout (girl scout these days) try, and while I continually made advances and learned, I was never satisfied with the results per se. Once I made the switch to coco, I haven't looked back. The benefits in terms of growth, input control, maturity rates, yield, etc far out do anything I was getting in soil...but that's just me. I know many here kill it in soil...it just wasn't my bag.

For the record, a pH in coco of 5.5 is going to cause you to miss out on your Mg (ask me how I know)...5.8 is pretty much where you want to be and if anything allow it to swing up by 2 or 3 tenths.

Thanks for the info! I have noticed new fan leaves are looking a lot better, buds are still the same unfortunately.

For the next grow I picked up a bag of canna plus and advance nutrients coco sensi grow. I was told I didnt need to buffer or pre-charge it. Just mix in some pearlite. Is this advisable? I decided on planting white widow and a mystery seed. Buddy gave me a bunch of bag seeds lol.

It's been noted many times, most using canna brand coco don't bother with the rinse or buffer. The idea being that the manufacturer has already completed these steps for you. I will only say, that if it were me, based on my own experiences, I would rinse it and buffer it myself. I will clarify though that I've never used it, so I have no practicable experience, as I use compressed bales of coco, which definitely need to be rinsed and buffered. I like to know where my starting point is and by rinsing and buffering the coco myself; I know. I also don't find perlite necessary to use, as coco has great water shedding properties on its own. Just my two cents...good luck.

The perfect temperature and humidity for your plants are found between 75°-85°F and 50% - 70% humidity, with plenty of airflow to replenish CO2. PH is 6-6.5. You may add more calcium and magnesium than normally needed. that the grow tips from mars site

dont hide your love for my girls .:P:P:P
Week 7 veg growing in Mars hydro growtent
After topped the photoperiods and they recovered I start to train them for of lst stemtraining. Wanna prepare them for bigger larger yield. They are in the plagron cocos 22 liter (5.8 gallon) air pots
and I give them plagron feeding. Yesterday they got fedt at 1.75 ec 900ppm 5.9 pH.
Npk ratio 9-5-3
I will train them a week longer. And next week then they Wil grow in height till they reach 35 cm a 40 cm height. Then I trow them on 12/12.
And see if I able to grow around 150/200 grams dried of each plant to get around a total of around at least 600/800 grams dried clean buds and hope for more.
Strains photoperiods
Original g diesel, brusski russki
Wedding cake, Gelato

Nice setup! Thanks, Grow for Fun, for sharing. I cut down the dwarf. And put both lights over the early miss. How does she look? Theres definitely some deficiency but in all I think she's doing well. I started a new batch of white widow and a mystery bag seed. I'll post pics later.
the girls look beautiful there. hope she getting more charming then :bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint:
