its sad to get a dud batch of seeds but it happens, i got a few packets from various brands over the years & sometimes not even 1 seed sprouted out of a full packet, i just dont buy the brand anymore, i believe your genuine & i believe thenotsoesoteric is genuine, he got lucky & you were not, best wishes with your grows

What I was thinking.
Sucks to hear that something that turned out killer for me turned out a turd for someone else. Not sure how many beans he grew out but if he only did one of each, then it's hard to write a breeder off with such a small sample size and if he ran a whole pack of fems or regs and all were crap, then shit I'd be pissed too I reckon.

also anything can happen at a breeding facility from one batch to the next, could be good genes for years then alls it takes is for one slipup of a mislabelled bottle of crap pollen is used then the whole crop of seeds is no good, also an accidental pollenization from a hidden inferior male is a real threat, it definitely sounds of 2 vastly different seedstocks you guys got, the grape god in general has got great reviews and hopefully next gen is careful with its program in the future
Got two Next Gen Romulan regular seeds in flower and both are spitting nanners. 2 female seeds C99 right next to them with no issues whatsoever.

only sounds good if your want to make some feminised seeds from the romulan...otherwise im sorry to hear that..could be a more entrenched prob at the breeding facilities too?

my romulan x romulan & romulan x northern lights from last year are all fantastic, but the romulan x yumbolt from the same rom male used in all my crosses has such a bizarre taste, i and everyone else who have tried it dont like it, i cant explain why that happened? possibly just a rare gene combination that just has a shitty taste?
I have to agree.....I grew GG last year and it was average at best. Yes, great yield though. 6/10 on the potency scale!

Damn, I guess they went downhill then for sure. I remember that you did some grape god back in 2013, we actually had a brief disagreement about how I described the taste. Was that the run that the gg were not so great or did you run it again more recently with worse results?
Maybe I'll pass on running again for a male if parent stock is watered down.

hoping the GG seed ive got from a 2011 order is ok, before the rot set in? will be putting some GSC pollen into the GG females..could turn out bonkerz...anything can happen when the pollen gets chucked...if it turns out good ill send you some...cos your the GG #1 fan

I feel you're cool man. Just run a dehumidifier if you got one in last three four weeks of flower and no problems. Plus that gsc packs enough of a punch it will boost up the god either way.

thanks but im all outdoors here & the almost desert area im in is soo dry mould is very rarely a prob, i can grow the real chunky monkies here with no issue, this is no BS what im going to tell you now, a few years ago i had just picked some fresh thick bud & just after i had put it on the table i got an unexpected visitor & in the panic of trying to hide it i just stuffed about a solid 2 ounces of the wet bud into a ziplock & threw it behind a speaker, anyway the visitor didnt stay long & having the short term memory of not much better than a goldfish i went out side & continued working on another project totally forgetting about that ziplock bag behind the speaker...2 weeks later i was near that speaker doing something & spotted that ziplock, instantly remembering then & thought ffs that shit will be just rotten mouldy fucked up gear...it had dried to a crisp inside the sealed ziplock bag!!! if i had not seen it i would not believe it, the superfine pores of the ziplock breathes..& when its 120F/49C & 10% humidity it can happen...so yes...mould is not a prob here

Yes, I remember.....you said your friends claimed it had a grape flavor (if I remember correctly) and I disagreed. I think you came by later with an apology. No I have not done it again- it was the 2013 run, although I still have some leftover seeds. You know, it's ok but not special in any way other than yield. There too many other great things to grow to waste time on it.
