I'm using a bathroom two drawer cabinet for a grow box, I removed the drawers and put two cabinet doors on the front. the inside is 22" high x 21" long x 13" deep and was wondering what kinda of lights could I use, I looked at a 2 foot T5 light fixture but they are too long to fit in inside, I looked at some led's panels, but after doing some reading on the net. I don't think they are the way to go. I got some cfl's from my pc grow box, 2 plants is not enough when using the pc box. So I got the cabinet for free, it just needed a little work.its almost done, I painted the inside flat white, put in most of the mylar except for the back of the box where the fans are going, not sure where to install them, stealth is not a issue, just don't have alot of money to build anything bigger, cannot afford to run MH/Hps lights, want something reasonable and affordable, any input on the lights would be great. thanks for your time

you could get some 3500k cfl's low heat and decent light. they run at 68 watt's so they are cheap to run . just keep them real close to plant's. they run about $13.00 at HD.

that's about right, high powered cfls do work well if you keep 'em close to the plants. Your friend is using a mogel socket, which most people don't have around the house. 105w is the highest you can fire in a standard edison socket. I used to use one 105 per plant. Keeping the plants together allows them to provide side lighting for the others near it.

My friend is using an E40type ECO CFL 200w from ECOTECHNICS. In a standard open reflector. With a standard kettle type lead.

sorry you're in the UK, should have clarified. In the states the highest we can use in a standard socket is a 105w
