I have a partnership and we are headhunters specialising in Telecom Network Engineers and Data Storage Engineers. We work mainly on contract roles. Difficult times for all in this market.

@Mikmike, it sure is hard for tech people to get a start in the economy today. You sound like you have some decent start off qualifications. If you are prepared to move you will get work in the US I think. We are a European country and have a fair amount come in from the US. Feel free to ask any questions or advise. And good luck finding something.

Peace, DST

I too do this, while the wife works I stay home, cook, clean, and make sure my son grows up right. It was kinda my life goal because I didn't have a dad. So I wanted to be there even more for mine. I grow pot for a second income, once my son gets to go to school, I'll be able to grow more (:

Oh, and fuck all those women who think males can't do this. We prove it grumpy!!! And yes, being a full time dad, AND grow pot, I'm more tired than she is when she gets home. She's a dentist

Just graduate with computer networking degree, have A+, CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, Net + and some other stuff but those are the main ones. Looking for a job and only getting replies of i need 5-10 + yrs experience. HOW the hell am i suppose to get a job in my field if no one gives me a shot. Then since i just graduate i have 1 yr till i have to start paying my loan, trying to pay as much as i can before interest gets added on. :( i build pc for ppl and do home repairs and what not from word of mouth, NO JOBS around me, i am starting to put apps out in other states
I'm in the same field doing help desk, system administration and some cabling. I haven't even graduated yet. You say you are getting replies, but you're not getting anywhere with them. Bone up on your interviewing skills and make a skills resume.
