Im using a type of humidification described as a terrarium fogger. I try to run above 80 in a 5x5 veg tent that I also keep a lot of rainforest vines in and also some mycology work right after inoculation. The one I have is 4 liters, or 1 gallon, but if you're sure to buy the top-filling kind then you can DIY a refill from rez system. Aside from DIYing one from a multi-head ultrasonic Iève never been able to find another option. I use city water and do have minor white dust. However, because I use silica and keep a very cleam system I dont feel my plants are going to suffer, nor will I miss any molds as a result of thinking its concentrated calcium-magnesium, which is what the white dust tends to be. Note, Im not using this high humid in a flowering space where it could do significant damage, IMO. EDIT: I also live somewhere with minimum 50 percent humid. that really is everything. If you have winter 20-30% humidity then a mega-multi-head ultrasonic, and all the subsequent white build-up from hard water, appears to be inevitable.Seams I’ve had a few discussions about humidity in the past bit.
I currently run a wick style humidifier. Plumbed into the RO water. It’s works but would like to get to even higher RH levels. As the digital controller only goes to 65%.
how are guys liking ultrasonic humidifiers or warm mist?
Looking for something small that has no wick.
would like to be able to set levels of 75-80%.
Perhaps something that needs a independent controller?
I’ve heard that with ultrasonics and warm mist you get white dust on stuff if you done use RO water.
any recommendations?
