What to use preventatively for bud worms

Hi all,
Got a few ladies going this year but want to avoid the dreaded budworms. I have been spraying with BT but have heard that Spinosad might be a better choice. Have not seen any critters yet cept on my tomatoes, but mainly I would like to know how late you can use either BT or Spinosad into flowering.

Thanks!

I dont know much about BT or Spino but my father uses his pesticide Mighty Wash very often throughout his flowering period up to the last week. I dont support that very much because I believe what you put on your buds is what you ingest and you dont want any kind of pesticide in your lungs.
I suggest using as little pesticide as possible but keeping notice if any bugs come into contact with your females and if you see an increase then increase on the juice :P
Use your pesticide up to the 6-7week(your preference) of flowering and do your best to use none past that. Maybe spot a few places, that might really need but use wisely.
Hope this helps a bit :]

Hello I'm using Azamax & it says it can be used up until day of harvest but I wouldn't recommend using it 2 weeks prior of harvesting. It works better when used as a "preventer" not a "defense" but if you must use it 2 weeks before harvesting I would use a foliar spray & follow up with a spray of clean water the next day.
If you don't have an infestation, then pick up some azamax & start giving doses every 7-10 days 1-3 weeks after plants start flowering using the soil drench application. If you see any that survive these precautions then mix up some to foliar spray every 5-10 days until all are dead

Azamax works great, OMRI listed to kill a broad spectrum of pests, & around $20 for a small bottle

Hope this helps, Stoned
