What to use as a door.

Sadly it is. I was going to remove it, but it is glued to the plywood(thanks previous owner).

My plan for that is to put the Mylar on the walls, then I have 3mil thick plastic I am going to put on the floor and staple to the sides and corners, to make a cup of sorts. My only concern there is friction for when I walk in there. I will have to be careful.

Basically the guy that owned this place before me built himself a office in the basement. It has ventilation, it is insulated, it is raised off the ground, and it has a door. I built three rooms in this area as my work area

uuuuhhhh... Why didnt you just use the whole basement ??then just put a divide in so you can veg and flower...!!??

I have a full basement. That is much more room than I need. This was the easiest and cheapest way to do it.

I am a first time grower. I have smelled others crops, but here in the suburbs we all live pretty close to each other. I do not want a weed factory(One can hope).

Plus it is a pretty big room. I will have a 6'x'7 bud room, 6'x6' veg room, and a 3'x4' curing room. Six plants is what I plan to start on.

Not all Mylar is created equal, so make sure you get a decent thickness and/or some that has good feedback. It can be really frustrating to work with that stuff when it tends to rip easily. If you get some and want to staple it up, consider putting a strip of tape on the mylar and staple through that so it keeps the punctures from turning into rips. Just like pushing a pin into a balloon through a piece of tape doesn't pop it.

A good piece of advice for indoor gardens and pests is to never wear your shoes from outside when you're in your rooms. Since you mentioned traction, you could get some sandals or something to wear inside and use a can of shoe grip adhesive- http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc...splay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053 - or a few rolls of that foam rubber mesh for keeping rugs from slipping would make a good "path" to walk on if you used it around your rooms
