What to use as a door.

Hello all;
I am building my rooms currently and I have two doorways both 78"x28". I am trying to think of something to use as a door that would keep the light out.

Do not answer with...Door lol

I am going to check that thread out ty. Its a wooden frame. The bottom is carpet.

You rock that Velcro vinyl thing may be an option for me. I would have to cut a piece of wood to put at the the bottom of my doorway, but I think I am going to have to do that anyway.

Ill post pics later but here is where my concern is. I am not concerned about someone seeing the light. My grow room is in a insulated room in the basement with a door(hurray me!) The problem I am looking at now is the veg and bud room will be next to each other, I plan on using mylar to cover the skeleton frame I put up and use it as a wall. Well What to do to stop the light from the veg room getting into the bud room.

My camera blows I will post pictures tomorrow during the day, they will be easier to see.

Those viny zipper doors would rock. I hope home depot has them.

How is that door attached? Do you have in that thread how you installed it?**Nevermind...staples lol! Glad I bought a staple gun. I will be posting tomorrow what my plans are to grow with pics.

**Actually how do you have it setup on the bottom of the "vinyl door" so no light gets in?

be carefull as just plain mylar does allow light to pass through (so i have heard and saw a pic!!) :) might want to grab some of thet roofing tar paper stuff and staple that up on the dividing wall. then spray adhesive the mylar to the tar paper

not that this has anything to do with your door situation but seemed like you had that covered

ah alright, still the tar paper would be more solid than just stapleing it to the studs.

that paper is hella expensive ><

Seriously? You can't just get a door? Or even a bit of wood and some hinges and mount a door? You have to come on a site about growing bud...to ask about a DOOR.

Note avatar, note my going to smoke a TON, because seriously? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

I'd stay away from roofing tar/felt/paper. That stuff has chemicals in it and is generally just no fun to deal with when it's been exposed to heat. The foam board sounds good. Plain styrofoam boards are cheap and can be torn down and crushed into garbage bags quickly.

I was being a douchebag, yes. I wasn't medicated at that point and it hit me wrong. Apologies.

If I built a door...it would not be the quality I want. It would drive me crazy until I payed a carpenter to do it correctly for me.

Anyway..
Those Styrofoam pads are a dam good idea. I am going to Homedepot today to pick something out. Yea I thought that mylar substitute was expensive, and I am currently looking at alternatives.
