What to help Miracle gro plants through flower?

I have some MG plants just a couple days into flower. I just chopped a couple also that were grown in MG with MG ferts. The buds are fluffy and yield was lower than it should have been. Otherwise they look and smell fine and taste okay after a two week flush.

What can I do to make these next couple finish better?

Am transitioning to coco and have organics. Just wondering what the hell to do with these MG plants in the meantime. Not a lot of info out there.. probably for good reason huh? Also if anybody could justify growing in MG for a short time, I could make a case.

So just wondering how to help them. Have the GH trio plus some GH additives. Koolbloom. No idea how to go about it all though.

bigger lights . what are you using ? i used mg not the best but it came out very well but . there numbers suck on the npk .but work . strongly suggest getting away from the mg line up unless you know how to mix 2 or 3 of them together t get better npk numbers .

Yeah these are the last couple in MG..

Was confused on how to change nutes of if anything could be added to MG to make it better but then it occurred to me that all I really need to do (I hope) is flush and then feed as normal with GH.

Why MG does not perform well is confusing to me but I can re-read about the NPK ratios mj plants need and maybe understand better what they're not getting. I'm not attached to the stuff just curious as there's something for me to learn here. So thanks for the tip on that.

Gh has a feed chart that tell you how to mix nutes. Usually ml/gal. Will vary for each stage. Eg veg 5ml/gal of each bottle is a basic feed for plants in veg.

You just have to be careful using the gh trio in soil. You wont see if its too much as fast as someone in a hydro setup. Start with the minimum, water once with it, then straight water for the next few waterings. Mine is a month into veg and i am feeding every 4th watering at the seedling recommended mix. I am also using a basically nutrient free soil mix. If your leaves are still dark green i wouldnt add anything but water, till they start looking hungry.
Im pretty sure miracle grow uses time release so flushing isnt going to do much of anything.

you do not need to flush the soil before you start feeding them the new nutrients doing so will do more harm then good they are hungry for nutrients and you will be taking that away from them feed them right away.

Yeah lights... They're under the cheap 1000W led's off amazon. Just got them so I'm staying with them until I find out for myself. I know I know..

The plants weren't fluffy or airy. Wrong word on my part. They're indicas so they're short and compact by nature. The buds looked great but just weren't dense. Didn't know anything was off until I chopped them and actually handled it. I have been compressing them some while they dry which is something I never felt moved to do before with other plants grown other ways. Is helping a lot with bag appeal. They look good in fact. Trichy and hairy with good color and smell. And dense lol.

The plants were subjected to some harsh conditions in a tent in a cold garage. Cold mostly and just irregular attention while I was building a space.

Now all the environmentals are good and I should be able to learn more. I have two side-by sides going in fact. Two strains, two plants of each all in MG soil in early flower. I'm going to finish 1 in MG and 1 with GH nutes and get a look at what that does. Flushed and then added GH line at about 2/3 strength in case there's a lot of N in there still. So far they look fine but too early to tell if they didn't like anything about it yet.

Plus others coming up in coco and a couple in organics so I should be able to figure out if lighting is playing a part pretty quickly.

You're going to have to narrow things down.
1 Breeder
2 Strain
3 Soil details, Type is obviously MG. But WHAT type? What's the NKP ratio on it? How long is it supposed to feed for.
4 Add on nutes you're using if you are.
Also flushing isn't going to do anything in time release soil.

Fluffy=more lighting. Switch that "miracle it will grow Monsanto death mix to Flora Bloom" or something half decent" and production and harvest amount should go up.
*I have a 300w LED on two plants. My "Budd box will hold 8x3 gallon containers with a 3 foot tall herb each. I have 3x 300w and a 210w UFO to complete the 1110w output that will cost me 520w each month.
To make up a proper guide for your grow you have to give things like; soil mixture, water PH, age of plant, type of genetics etc...

Consider the strain as well. I've grown different strains together and the difference can be as much as 100% weight to volume. From one strain, a quarter sized larfy bud can weigh out at about a gram or so. But, the same size bud from a more dense and tight strain can be double that at 2 or more grams. It just happens even all other factors being the same. Except the breeder.

Don't get me wrong. Even well grown larfy bus can put you right where you want to be.

The plants are Nirvana's Aurora Indica and Black Jack. MG moisture control soil and just regular crystal 'grow' and 'bloom' ferts. Fed every other watering at 1/2 tsp per gallon. Plants are extremely happy constantly reaching for the light with absolutely no blemishes whatsoever on any leaves. 1 AI @ 4 wks flower. 2 AI @ 2 wks. and 2 blackjack just in flower.

So since I have two sets side by side I thought I'd change one of each to GH trio, floralicious, koolbloom, and their root grower can't remember the name. So that's just switching to the GH line in MG soil. Did it 1/2 strength yesterday to an AI @ 2 wks and it's fine and happy today.

I get it about the flushing not being helpful with time release nutes but I think it's the N that hangs around and I figured I might be able to at least get rid of the other ferts. I think that's the general knock on MG is that there's too much nitrogen and that it also hangs around too long in the soil.

Nothing really interesting is going to happen (I hope) for about the next six weeks or so. By then I'll have the first set of comparison plants at 8 weeks and it'll be interesting to see if there are notable differences. Or maybe it'll tell me something about my lighting. Otherwise all the clones and seedlings are going into coco.

Am just filling up my space. Some fun strains started. I have 12 nice flowering stations on tables that drain and are just waiting for plants. And I'm pretty sure it'll all be grown in coco in 5 gallon pots. For me it's the right medium and method..I think. Got dazzled by organics for a minute but it's so dirty lol. And hydro is just .. no.

So yeah started this thread to ask if there were any products to add to MG plants to make them better, but really I think the answer is just to switch to quality MJ specific nutes. Don't see why it couldn't be done at any stage of growth. There don't seem to be any issues with switching and I don't expect any. It will be interesting to see what difference it makes.
