What to do with all the smaller foliage?

High everyone. I am curious if this plant is ready to be topped? Should it be topped? And what to do with all of the smaller foliage that is growing off of all the first 4 nodes? I want the plant to get taller than this. This is my first grow and is 100x further than I have ever got any other plants. I am curious if the smaller foliage down lower is slowing my plant growth down in regards to height? I am just over a month in and they do look very healthy but only about 8-10" tall. I am told they are Berry White bag seedst hat's all I know....

Leave the foliage.(you can remove this much later on and use for clones). You could top it if you wanted to but remember this will slow growth for awhile.

a lot of people say after the third node, i like to wait till they have 5, and take the 6th.
if you let the small foliage go a while, you can use it for clones, otherwise, not good for much.

I am still unsure if it is male or female but it seems to be slow? I feel like it is small for its age? The growth has really blown up since I put it into a 3 gallon smart pot. Thank you for the help! I will let the foliage grow for a while. I want to eventually have one that I can cut for clones.

Get in the mindset, that right now you are growing ROOTS.... Good healthy roots, will develop into a healthy plant.
