what to do hermie plants?

g,day all.i have some feminized sensi star in a grow tent along with some regular skunk1 and blueberry,my best looking sensi star has started to show male flowers on female buds.what to do??????? if i leave it will my whole crop be seeded??? thanks for any help!!!!

Yeah, if you leave it your whole crop will be seeded, unless you're like a week from harvest, but even then I've seen plants start to produce seeds practically overnight. I'd chop it, or isolate it, or you could try a product by Dutch Masters called "Reverse", it's supposed to stop male flower production on hermies...But I'd just scrap it and have a "Yeah, I had a hermie, it sucked" story to add to my arsenal of growing smalltalk.

thanks metasynth, i'll get rid off it. it does suck ,but as you said now i got a hermie story like many others i hear off.

you could also try dutch master reverse.. i've had good results with it..

but i would still get it out of your main garden.. if you can maybe find a place for it outside if possible.

Yup, my last hermie got smoked by my girlfriend, it was like 5 or 6 weeks into flower, starting to fatten up. It happens, all this crazy breeding these days creates unstable genetics...I wonder how many breeders stress plants to see if it'll induce male flowers before using it as breeding stock.....

Sometimes the hermie will produce only a couple of male flowers which if picked early will not pollinate the surrounding crop. However this may be risky as nanas can be also located inside the buds making it impossible for you to remove them. Although take in mind that even a hermie can be a good smoke, I had smoked some excellent hermies and then grew them out as pure females and the difference in smoke was not that different. If you are satisfied with the yield of two plants then remove it, but if those turn hermie on you as well later you will regret it.
