What To Do About those Dam Deer

Just wanted to give people a heads up on some of those deer and rabbit repellent spray shit. I thought it was decent because I used it in the past but not this year. Deer ate the tops of 2 of my plants and totally stripped one of my other ladies. I sprayed all around the parameter very thoroughly. Better off being totally safe and using some non glossy green thin wired fencing. There's no where for the dam deer to go around here because their cutting down all the woods> bastards

Sorry to hear that. That's too bad. It reminds me of that Louis CK (I think) joke tho where he talks about how being from the city seeing a deer was always so spiritual like "OMG looks its a deer shhhhh nobody move, its so precious". When you live in the country your like stupid deer stop eating my plants and shitting on my lawn and you try really hard to hit them in the head with rocks.

Killing them is not necessary, and probably illegal.

human piss works too. Piss all around your grow area, the deer will smell you, and go elsewhere.

Piss 12 gauge .308 desert eagle there's alot of ways to solve deer. I ur up a huge chicken wire fence and fishing line all aroun my spot to spoke em it I'm outs hooting clay targets enough that they stay away for a while lol

Go to the party store and get some type of motion actvated toy or halloween trinket, put at base of each plant when they get close it scares them off

The only spray I had luck with outdoor was Repels All. Used some bamboo skewers around the base to keep them from getting dug up by smaller critters. Good luck!

Piss around the area, if you get a haircut save the hair and throw it around the area, throw a used bar of soap out there, and you can also make a cayenne pepper spray and hit the plants with that. One taste and that will be it.

Get a bow and Kill one of them .. then gut/ pack that baby out and mail me the backstrap!

Dont do what this guy said ^^^^^ Pee in a gallon jug till you fill it up. take it to your site and pour it around the whole site. If you dont like that idea then use boiled peppers and garlic in water. spray that around your plants, their containers, and even fan leaves and stems. just not the buds!

Bollocks piss if ya need to but they won't stop, Build a f'kin fence!! Pred piss as mentioned works too for a while anyway, rotate it coyote bobcat mntn lion etc get the sampler kit and don't use it til you're getting ready to leave as it is horendous.

Listen.....Take 20lb clear mono fishing line and make a perimeter fence at 3 feet and 6 feet using the trees and shrubs and that will stop the deer. I went to visit my only outdoor grow Ive succesfully done ever 5 years ago. I had 7 DJ Shorts True Blueberry bagseed out there and all I had for protection was the fishing line trick. When I get to the spot I hear cracking in the woods and very loud snorting like a big animal was sneezing over and over. It was a very pissed off buck with a big rack that was trying to get to my flowering beauties but couldnt. LOL

It worked great. There is a massive amount of deer where I planted these ladies. I only went out to check them 1x every 2 weeks. unless it was super hot. Then 1x a week. Tons of deer and not one bite out of my ladies. The only problem I had was....they were in 5 gallon paint buckets and a good wind or a raccoon would tip one or two plants on its side and when I checked them and stood the plants up they were bent like a boomerang faceing back down to the ground. LOL

So I took brown twine and tent stakes and tied the paint bucket handle's to the ground and never had a problem again. Pretty decent harvest of blueberry that 1 year.

There is many things you can use. This year i went all out after 4 of my plants got eaten. List of things that repel deer: Garlic, human hair, human pee, wolf or cyote pee, pepper, cinnimon, garlic spice, pretty well any strong spice. Theres also alot of deer repellent products out there, like you said you used. umm i use the havaheart brand, works well for me. All these things work and most are very inexpensive. I would get some spices and pee in a jug for a while and bring it with you the next time you go see your plants. Hope this helps and good luck

Listen I'm trying to wise ya, urine won't work when deer are hungry they will eat ... your plants Then you'll be pissed. All the stuff you spray on the leaves means they will eat some and then decide if they will eat more. Not good. Liquid Fence is a garlic based spray but still they will eat some first. Fishing line is cool but you better anchor it good. I do Fences strong corners and netting no issues Been growin since 65'

I've heard of people using several different things. Irish Spring soap seems to work the best to keep them out of the "garden". Just take a new bar and use a knife to cut shavings and/or pieces up. Throw them all around your plants mindful to not throw it on your growing medium. They won't come near it. Trust me. Replace the soap every 4 weeks or after hard rains. Its a quick and easy solution.

I dont deal with deer on a daily basis... however last year I spent 2 weeks in WA where they do run wild and love to eat damn dear anything.. (get it.. lol I kill me.. /pats self on the back for the pun.. then has to go to the DR cuz I patted myself on the back and now shoulders hurt)

anyhow..

as I watched mom and dads yard.......... I noticed my fat little effer ... <------- to the left.. going apeshit all over the deer.. causing them to run off.. so.. get yourself a fat piggy dog... and see if they run em off..
