I'm trying to stop taking pills as often because I can't smoke at work but can at home . Only I have severe anxiety during the day being around people and trying not to flip out when someone pisses me off so I take Xanax and I'm good. But at the end of the day I don't take pills of I don't have to. I'd rather smoke. I'd rather smoke during the day but can't . Don't think the VA is gonna help me if I ask about smoking weed rather than taking pills. I'm sure it will show up in my piss test and who knows what kind of shit storm that's gonna cause. thought you all would like to know how they feel about it here in Alaska anyways, judging from their paphlet. What do you all think about the paphlet lol

After 45+ years of pot smoking, I see no false information in those pamphlets. Call me stupid, but that will prove my point.

Smoke your pot dude, it`s prolly ten times more effective and worth it. I would too.

I guess we need a co-op grow! Ideally everyone could grow different strains & share the costs of it all. That would be awesome! Swapping new info with fellow growers etc. Could have own cubicle to grow in something like that.

Glad to hear youre trying to stay away from the pills/xanex. Getting hooked on anxiety meds must be awful. Good job.

What's the issue? It's a little heavy-handed but nothing I see in that pamphlet is incorrect.

Really?! I've NEVER had withdrawal from weed lol have you ? I don't know anyone who has personally lol I smoked weed throughout HS and I graduated , and college lol. can cause heart attack ? I can go on but it right there and bogus lol nowhere do they say anything good about it , like how it helps anxiety, depression, helps with pain, some recent cases helps with cancer, epilepsy, etc. lol

Sure, I've absolutely had withdrawal symptoms from pot. Up until recently I was using 1-2g of hash oil and several times that in flowers on a daily basis and when I quit cold turkey I had very similar physical withdrawal symptoms from when I quit smoking cigarettes. Less appetite, irritable, difficult to focus, etc. I've been smoking well over a decade, this isn't the first time I've gone from large amounts daily to nothing at all so this is a recurring thing. Again, very faint and hardly noticeable, but present all the same. I don't think anybody is going to compare the "withdrawals" from stopping pot to heroin or alcohol anytime soon.

I don't know about "can cause a heart attack" but I'm not a doctor. There are certainly good things about cannabis, I don't disagree with you on that point. But just looking at the majority of the information in the pamphlet at a glance, it's all fairly accurate, if not quite what the hardcore "pot can do no wrong" crowd is comfortable with. I try to look at everything from the devil's advocate viewpoint and try to objectively assess things so I can have a nicely rounded opinion on a topic and I find that often puts me at odds with the majority viewpoint on these types of forums, but I'm okay with that.

I have a shit load of Zoloft. .atarax etc...I should flush em...they been in my cabinet for 3 yrs
Take them to a hospital/pharmacy/cop shop & tell them you're not gonna take them any more & want to get rid of them properly.
That's what I did when my Mother passed & I was left with a shopping basket full of narc.
No questions asked (pharmacy).

I think habitual would be a better word to use. When you stop, you need three days to clean and then it`s no issue putting the bowl down. That tiny period is addiction to some.

If you have a pre existing heart condition that is undetected, sudden increase in heart rate or pressure can hurt you. But that can be applied to over the counter drugs so I think they are including everything to cover their bases.

When my mom worked at a nursing home and a patient died they just flushed the pills down the toilet but a doctor had to be present so they couldn't pocket the pills.
