What the Funk?

This one is particularly important right now. No matter where your beliefs fall within the political spectrum it is important to remember that we are one nation under a groove. Don't let the vitriol and hate divide us. Have love for your neighbor and get to know people in your town, even if their beliefs seem antithetical to yours there is common ground. If we approach hate with hate everyone stops listening. The only way to combat hate is with empathy and understanding. Letting other people divide us only serves to benefit people who have no desire to represent the needs of all.
We are One Nation Under a Groove.

Glen Goins arranged and produced what was to be to be the debut album of the band Quazar. Sadly Glen passed away, at age 24(!) from Hodgkin's lymphoma. He never saw the album released.

Belita Woods(October 23, 1948 – May 14, 2012), the lead vocalist for the band Brainstorm in the 1970's. In 1992 she joined George Clinton Parliament/Funkadelic. Today is her birthday!
Her voice was transcendent, my favorite vocalist of all time. Her voice actually made me cry a few times, slightly embarrassing a grown ass man breakin' down and crying in the middle of a crowd.
She didn't just sing she was the music.
Happy birthday Belita, rest in P!
