Have you ever seen cops bringing out suitcases for peoples shit they confiscate? Of course not.

Seems to me they had a warrant for the neighbor but was able to spill over into neighbors' places as well. It happened to me.
Next door neighbor was under watch. They raided his house, then burst into mine saying "they saw people running in the direction of my house".

It is likely they got a warrant for the main person under survellience and then got address warrant for those nearby. All they needed was to see you speak to that neighbor 1 time for them to get a "connection".

so ive been busted twice and ive learned sme things. mostly common sense & simple things..
smell - use carbon filter. spread a load of ona gel around the windowframe when you open windows
open windows, go outside, if there is a smell, use more ona, go back outside and sniff. works for me
and put some ona close to the letterbox, ive heard of coppers knocking a house, no1 answrs so they just sniff around literally! never happened to me (that i know of!!) but why take the risk, just put some ona around the lbox

bills - dont give meter readings dont answer the door. if you have to give them a readng, do some research and give them a conservative(ish) number
i get a prepaid meter installed every time

garbage - give the council all the stuff a 'regular' member of society would have in their rubbish bins. take all the other stuff (gloves syringes nutes soil bags seed packaging etc etc), then burn it all or chuck it all in a black bag and drop it into any pub/restaurant/offices wheely bins and go home. always wear gloves or at least give the rubbish a little wipe down

behaviour - do normal things. go to work, go to school, play golf whatever. do all your 'other' stuff as stealthly as possible. like a ninja! i bag up all the used soil, load it into my car at 3am and drop it somewhere it will simply mix in. always bring back the bags and just chuck em in with the stuff you plan to drop at the pub

neighbours - as far as im concerned each to their own but some people are just plain old fucking ignorant. i talk to each of my neighbours when i first move in, just a few minutes, but i can get a hand;e on the type of person they are. ive only had 1 that i thought would grass me right up. so 1 morning while they were out i posted some of my mail through their letterbox. on the reverse of the letter was a return address, 'cancer research uk, donations, account management department' something like that. which is all true i do donate to cruk. they might read this and think 'oh wow hes nice - i should donate too' and immediately their view of you changes from 'sketchy' to 'donates to charity'

heat - cool tubes, extraction fans, ac units etc but also youre at an advantage if you live somewhere remote. also put your lights on during the day

bad luck - no accounting for this one!

girlfriends - keep em happy !

and never ever answer the door to anyone that shows up unexpectedly

I'm not in jail but I thank you for that positive vibe there I haven't had access to internet for awhile and i just checked in I thank everyone who responded who actually had a real opinion instead of the assholes trying to show how witty they can be(I never knew something that can happen to everyone up here no matter how safe and cautious you are especially if you live in the USA was so comical)and to quote one dick the warrant I was "patiently"waitng for never came I've been checking online because as one person suggested I no longer live there and i won't be going back and to answer another question I have asked the neighbors next door the last time I was there they said they pulled up in a big white van and ran in they also said they saw them take bags of what he was sure was weed cause he could smell it from my downstairs neighbors house and they also arrested him so yeah that would lead me to believe they were actual police.Oh and like one person stated they have to secure my apartment when they leave and they did they used a battering RAM to get through my front door you could see the circular dent right beside the deadbolt,tore my place up took my stuff and tv,left the warrant were my tv USED to be then they nailed my front door shut because there was no way to lock it and they left out the back door so there is no way a neighbor broke in I believe I just got pulled into the guy downstairs mess cause from what I heard they took out of his house put my little ones to shame they got who they really wanted which is why I guess they took the tv too as another person said cops are thieves too they took it as payment for not arresting my ass but really after talking to my lawyer all they pretty much would have been able to charge me with is possession unless they could prove it wasn't for personal use which they couldn't and with it being my first offense probation,a nice fine,drug treatment classes,and community service is about all I would have got so I guess I wasn't worth their time.Well I'm through for the rest of this year,get situated in a new place looking for a house this time i was going to try and find one next year but now is as good as time as any thanks again to everyone,stay safe.

This is sure funny, you lived in an apartment and did not know the downstairs tenant was growing bigger plants than you, you really do have some bad luck.

Incorrect. Many local law agencies now have the ability to simply fly at night, use drones, etc. to detect heat signatures. Here our local law enforcement has drones of their own that are low flying and infrared detecting scouts. Essentially, this is not necessarily admissible in court, but it is used to keep an eye out. Especially in larger towns/cities with rising grow houses.

And as far as energy bills, again bad advice. Sure energy companies like getting paid, but they can also get paid by agencies for reporting. And because again this is not admissible in court, they can report you, still get paid, and the investigation has begun. Keep in mind it's quite easy to detect when you're running 2k of lights on a set scheduled cycle.... 18/6 or 12/12.


OH one more thing.... those who said they haven't told anyone about their grows... if you POST on forums like this, you've told the world. Don't think for a second LEO doesn't peruse the forums. I know from personal experience that they do. Particularly when I was a member on another site that was shut down some years ago. Just keep it cool.
