What is the best all around setup for growing? wich are the best lights considering im broke i need the best light for the cheapest $ anybody got any ideas? THANX

I think i posted on another thread of yours, but your answer hands down is CFL lighting. There are specific bulbs that you can get for under $15 a piece for regular light sockets that do amazing things for ppl growing on a tight buget. I'm in the same position you are.

You'll want soft white and daylight CFLs. The daylights are for vegging, and the soft whites are for flowering. I bought some last night at walmart for $6 for a 4 pack of soft whites and $6 for a two pack of daylight. What is your setup going to be?

Edit: Each of the bulbs I bought puts out 1,600 lumens at 24 watts.

Yes. the higher the wattage the higher the luman output. And you want to get 6500k color temp for veg phase, and 2700k for flowering. I've read that the minimum luman out put you need for sucessful growth is roughly 3000 lumen per square foot. And with these cfl lights you wanna keep em about 2-3 inches away from the tops of your plants.

Another cheap way of lighting is 150 w hps from e-conolight.com ...its in the vapor lights and its only 20 bucks
