Just wondering what temps are dangerous? My temps range from 72-79 degrees. When I kick on my big cfl' they raise temps up. If I kill my cfl's and leave LED on, I can keep my temps down 5 degrees, when I'm away.

I grow from anywhere between 55F and 85F.

But that's completely controllable.

Generally I try to stay at 72F.

Temperatures above 86 degrees the stomata, pores on the leaves, will start to close up. Gas exchange and photosynthesis will come to a halt.

I've always wondered how to take the temp. I just checked my plants and I have a digital thermo laying on the soil fully exposed to 600WW MH, it read 88. I have a digital soil probe and it read 77 about 6" deep, and the one on the wall read 62 about 6' off the floor. So what is my temp? It always feels just comfortably warm so I don't worry much about it.

Vegatative- lower 80's
flowering- mid to lower 70's
soil temps- I've seen 60-70f, and 65-75f. I guess that's ballpark for soil temps.
seed germination- I've seen 78f and also 80f
