Blah blah blah, poison people. Blah blah blah, the krebs cycle. Blah blah blah.
Stop suggesting people use elemental sulfur in their hydro res, dummy. It's damn stupid. Go take your sulfuric acid bashing to the sulfuric acid thread in the DIY section where people actually suggest using it.

What happens when you add water to so3, as you just said.. hahahaha... your Highschool chem years,
, you poison people with AUTOMOTIVE BATTERY ACID.
..I guess I can explain this a little better, .
Basically, when elemental sulfur (S) is broken down via aerobic oxygen hydration (air-stones and water), it turns into SO2−4, (depending on the oxidizing agents). The Krebs cycle will feed the oxidizing agents because my tea is ppm3000+ and like a black soup. This oxidation effect is caused by the organics I use in my res in a Kreb cycle, fueled organic dissolved solids.

Each turn of the citric acid cycle produces, simultaneously, two molecules of carbon dioxide and eight atoms of hydrogen as byproducts
After your so2 oxidizes and turns into so3, the water is available to convert the so3 into h2so4 (Sulfuric acid). ...i mean, if someone is REALLY bad at chemistry, what would they assume this produces - SO[SUB]2[/SUB] + H[SUB]2[/SUB]O[SUB]2[/SUB] ?
As I said, this is my res.. I call it the terminator.. I grow buds the size of your leg in half-gallon pots.
