What Soil Do I Need?

A really good nitrogen soil that I prefer to use during my veg cycles is Roots Organics Greenfields. It's a high nitrogen soil great for strong veg growth and has plenty of nutes to last a couple months, I don't use fox farms ocean forest because the npk ratios are off in my opinion, also I've seen a lot of nute burn and lockup on younger plants from this soil. Overall roots organic is the only soil I like to use since I've tried it

It depends on what is available in ur area and what u can afford. I read a lot before my first indoor grow and heeded all the advice and it been a huge drag. What I should have done was go with a soil i was familiar with instead of going completely with unknowns no matter how highly recommended they were. Mj is a very forgiving plant. You have more chance of screwing up with lights than with a potting soil. My second grow is with miracle gro and is relying more intuitively with what I see and know rather than what others in other parts of the country and the world see and know. Have fun with it. Nothing more amazing and worthwhile. And if u go with a soil that already has nutes dong add anything until it has started to take off and is asking u for food.

You must have had a hot batch, I can say for myself , I've never had nute burn from just using there soil. And I've always had great results. The ocean is a tade bit hot for seedlings but that's why I mix it.
I just planted germed seedlings in FFOF an hour ago. Is that going to be a problem?

That soil runs hotter, will it be a problem,....that we can't tell ya. It's going to more on your strain and pheno I'll say. I've started with ocean b4, they were fine but it didn't respond as well if it was to say started in happy frog. And I'm not a fan of just ocean, there soilless mix tends to have bigger flacks of bark and such for germed seeds to push through the soil plus it lacks a lot of needed perlite. Pick up a bag if you plan on using this for you whole grow it will help big time. Please keep a eye out everyday. I've had it were germed seeds get trapped by there added large sticks and bark and had to help them break soil by removing and covering with easier soil on top.
