What size gallon pots?

Plan to use Ocean Forrest by Fox Farm in a room of 3 600w under the following dimensions 4ft by 9ft. I want to grow 4 plants using the technique of mainlining. Should the tree bushes be held in 7 gallon pots or 5 gallon pots? And does anyone have any further useful information of Ocean Forrest i.e should I add perlite... ect?

I ve used both 7 gallon is better protects roots from heat better, less subject to nutrient sensitivity,bigger plants thats a lot of light for a room that size

Ocean Forest has plenty of perlite aalready. At least in my experience it drains and dries out too quickly

I personally would add a tablespoon or two of dolomite per gal of OF and use a 10-15 gallon container. 3-600 watt lights in your dimensions deserve some leg room for the plants. Make the most of those lights and 4 plants.
