It's been 14 days since I've switched to 12/12 lighting. I've got a 4'x8' area to use for my flowering room, and within half of the area I have a 315w CMH and a 300w mars junk light (only half works correctly ) for supplemental lighting, and the other 4'x4' contains a 400w HPS. I'm flowering 6 plants in total, and under the 315w and mars junk I have 4 decent sized, which one could say over-vegged, ladies starting to flower. I had everything under the 400w mostly, however when they were taller they received some bleaching and burning from the light.. so when I trimmed them down about a week ago I tossed them to the other side of the room, and put the two smaller ones under the 400w.
I was considering the possibility of spending a few hours crawling under everything and using eye-hooks and running some wire or line to do a supporting-style net which could really open up the plants and add future support, but would that even be enough? A week ago they all received a much needed trim down/up, and that was the lowest I went, but I was afraid of thinning it out too much at once. Did I leave too much of a jungle to deal with? What do ya'll recommend I do to get the best in this situation? I just keep seeing how thick that middle area is of each plant and wonder what it's going to be like when the buds start to fill out..
