So the yield is not near what some hybrids today can bring, but the quality was what I like - a functional uplifting high so I can get STUFF done. It was my first grow with them so I have learned a few things.

the CB seemed to be very picky about water once the roots filled the pot.
you really need to pay attention as the plants can go from wilt-need water to too much easilly. The plant seems to like it best if you have a pot o soil a bit larger than it really needs - saw this in the 1 gallon and the final 5 gallon. Grew supper until the roots need to turn.

The KahunaXCB was a much stickier flower, the plant was superb leafs always stay perky buds fold downward like an old school 80's strain. it took a bit of the pine scent away I would say my two plants took on the Kahuna traits as it did not look or act much like the CB.

I got the slo flo as a freebie as well. I grew it indoors and it performed well. Not as potent as my OG Kush from southern oregon though under the same conditions.

Done a full grow, dry and cure with these strains now. Two of the strains have become my new regular crops.


Ace Seeds; Malawi x Panama.
Got a great pheno (that I've now bonsai-ed and use to clone from) with a taste and smell of eastern incense and carrot, these flavours change with every toke *yum* very complex (this is what your house will smell of too :) ..no horrid skunk smell!). It has an old school, long lasting sativa high (it's a pure F1 sativa hybrid) and not a single note of 'skunk' in it's lineage (a good thing, for my tastes). The high is social and introspective (depending on your mindset at the time), you could work happily on this (this pheno is not as psychedelic as the advertising states this strain can be). The clones from the mother give a great mix of the two parent strains too (meaning a full crop of MxP gives me a mix of both parents) This is the strain (in future) I will be growing most, it's been the best for flavour, smell and beautiful high (yield is above average). No come down or hangover the next day. The 'blurb' states 10/11 weeks flower, this pheno is good to take at 55 days (from first sign of pistils - trics=no amber/clear+milky) but can be left till up to 80 days (imo) for a more 'matured' flavour and high (the day 55 taste was the best - imo - the flavour becomes more intensely incense as the flower days roll on).

Dark Horse Genetics; Strawberry Shortcake.
I seem to have a sativa pheno that has an early 90's Amsterdam Haze-ish vibe to it. Nice taste, but the 'skunk' influence is there in the body high if you smoke a lot (this strain will make you spin out if you smoke too much - that indica thing). High yielding and I think it would popular with Indica lovers. It takes time to flower (80 days) although it could be pulled at day 70 (imo). One thing with this pheno, seemingly no real need to cure. Once flush and dried for a week or so, the buds seem fully expressed ..without curing. I'm guessing this would be good for quicker turnaround. Not my kind of smoke these days, but I know many people like that Amsterdam/Indica/skunk thing (and this has it).

Breaking Buds; Strawberry Cream (Strawberry Creme x Ice Cream).
This one came out of nowhere, the pheno I'm keeping (now bonsai-ed) grows like a tall stocky indica (big wide leaves and thick stem and branches) but the 'blurb' states this strain is 80% Sativa. Outside, this beast wants to be a tree :)
The flavour profile is Sativa with straight up fresh, sweet carrot, Carrot Carrot Carrot :) I actually love this taste profile, especially since I've grown skunk dominant hybrids for soooooo long. High is classic Sativa stuff (nice and social but long lasting). Very clean and no hang over the next day etc. Yield is high, and it can be harvested as early as 48/50 days (from first pistils showing) or left till up to 65 days (for a more robust flavour and high). This is my second favourite strain at the mo (after MxP).

How do you grow a male? Without making a mess? It needs its own tent?
I pull and dispose of them as soon as I can.

I have grown them in an Aquarium turned on end ... but i usually just cut a branch and put it in a vase of water over a sheet of glass , then gather the pollen
Once you are done wet everything down and viola no more viable pollen

I put male(s) in a small tent with filters on intake/exhaust, in a room by itself + shower after dealing with pollen or near male(s).
Cut off all nearby fans asap while working with pollen or near males.

You can put clones of your favorite females in tent with him
or
Collect pollen, brush it on a few buds, and spray them with water few min later.

i did that recently, unfortunately, most of my old stock was no longer viable.
