What produces more heat? 2x600w or 1x1000w

So Ive heard the 600w lights produce less heat and are more efficient. Also is there a large difference in using the electronic ballast vs the magnetic ballast(i assume the one that gets rlly hot is magnetic)?

Last time I had a 1000w in a 4x4x6.5' box, 4" 200cfm inline duct fan +carbon filter, passive in take was the cracks in the door (imperfect box), but I had negative pressure and it worked well, with minimal heat issues (grew out fine, however was unable to actually measure the heat.

Also I should add that this was in a room that I left the door open on, and id open windows in adjacent rooms/turn on my ac in the living room/use fans to control the heat in that room.

Should I anticipate problems running 2 600 watts in my new 7'11, 7'11, 6'7 tent (within 10x10 room) Or do you think itll be about the same. Obviously the air is going to have to travel a little further, and now through 2 lights. Same 4" inline duct fan and carbon filter.
