i recently got a pollen press its a T-press 5.5inch aluminum pollen press. The problem is i hear aluminum can give you metal shavings. I've seen some steel ones but they are upwards of $60+ and I've seen some brass ones that are about $20. Would brass also give me metal shavings? Does anyone have any pollen press's they suggest that are not above $60?.

Hand press first and learn what is pressed resin glands before you buy a press. If you have quality to press you will forget about your press that does a very poor job of it.
You will have at set what is called an "Export Press" which is far from optimum

If I press, and I prefer my kif unpressed, I use a 1" X close stainless pipe nipple, a 1" cap, and a hardened steel dowel for pressing in an existing press, which I made out of an $18 bottle jack and some scrap metal, for pressing glycerin tinctures. Total expenditure was $25/30.

We use the same press to make cannabuttons out of ground flowers. These pictures were taken with the original prototype black iron pipe die.
