What PH meter do you guys recommend?

I'm looking for a more reliable PH meter and am considering a Blue Lab Combo Meter Plus. It's a little spendy but I'm tired of $50 meters failing after 3-6 months with proper care and need something more reliable. I just had a bad experience with Hanna Instruments and wound up returning 2 PH meters in a row @ $98 each due to drifting readings and slow response time. I no longer have faith in Hanna making a solid product and am leaning strongly toward the Blue Lab.

A shop near me sells them and will personally warranty a replacement in the store if the unit fails within 5 years. The probe is only warrantied for 6 months, but that seems fair. $226 out the door. Is it really worth the cheddar or is Blue Lab just over hyped and over priced?

What do you guys think? I'm buying on Friday...

Thanks!

Blue lab has been the best ph pen ive bought, been through countless other cheaper pens. Only time i had an issue was when i let the probe dry out overnight, was warrantied by my hydro shop tho. If you have a ppm meter already just pick up the ph pen, if not the tri meter is a solid buy too.

Bluelab FTW. Ive had my blue lab ph pen for over a year and its still kicking probably because I take care of it.

Just spend the money man.... I went bullshit cheapy pens for ages, never worth a damn...

Now I got a monitor, a guardian, and the growers box (both pens)

Just buy a Blue Lab piece, and let your mind be at ease from now on...

Some cheap pens are great. The mass producing of products makes the more expensive products cheaper and more readily available over time. I’ve found that if I store and keep the calibration liquid in a sealed container, I can then take a few seconds with each watering to re calibrate. If it’s off by .1 to .15 it’s not a huge deal honestly because of nutrient availability range is a much bigger window than what I believe some are concerned with. I believe getting it close to the PH range is more ideal than getting super duper accurate. The plants will always let you know deficiencies, there’s no perfect way to grow though.

After a wasting money on a Milwaukee PH600 and worthless Hanna Checker, I did some research and bought a Milwaukee MW102. It's been fast and extremely accurate.
It has digital calibration that doesn't drift. Probe care is very important, get something with a probe that can be sealed in a vial of storage solution.
