What Part Of The Plant To Check Trichomes From?

How much will the calyx swell? Is it noticeable and how far do the pistils recede? I’m a newbie only on 3rd grow and checking trichomes is tough I’m getting better. I wish you could check sugar leaves and use a different formula like if there all amber there done. I got a ton of amber on the leaves but none really on the calyx I’m 6 1/2 weeks in on gg4 so I’m close

That plant still has a ways to go... regardless of the trichs... probably still a month before it's ready...
