what makes plants hermie?

yeah thats what i've heard stress and genetics... I'm no expert, but I've heard that if a female flowers for too long in nature without being pollinated, its natural defense to further the species is to grow male pollen sacs and pollinate itself.... and then sometimes you just get certain strains that are more likely to turn into hermies

def. stress any kind of stress i found out the hard way that you do NOT want to interrupt the night cycle for ANY reason what so ever you should only touch your timer once after you set it the first time and that is to switch from veggie to flowering
