Like if one grew some bag seeds from some crap weed they got from a dealer and it was grown right, could it likely be good weed?

my first was bagseed and it was'nt bad but i would'nt want ever waste my time cloning the strain, my second was ak47's and they were some top grade potent buds

obviously the grower is the key part but the strains to play a good part aswell

I would say most of it is genetics, but the grower plays a huge part in it by feeding on the genetics of what they are growing...man I'm baked!

I have always given all of my plants the same care, same soil, nutes, sun, but some just turn out better than others. Genetics rule !!!

But agree with matchbox that dying and curing are critical stages.

6 of one and half a dozen of the other.

A good grower can grow decent mids from very modest grade B genetics. A BAD grower can take seeds from the latest cup winning strain, and grow seedy schwag. Gentics are a good place to start, but what you do with them after they pop makes a big difference too.

I would say it's 40/60 grower/genetics. So decent mids can be grown from bag seed, but the genetics will prevent you from growing high grade weed.

ive always saw it as 1/3rd grower, 1/3rd genetics, and 1/3 in the dry/cure. seems any of them can be detrimental to the finished produce in some way, but i would bet it usually takes a combination of failures to grow the true shwag.

well to start with im into dogs and you cant get a show dog from two mutt parents no matter how you raise them-LOL

me thinks that a good grower can make garbage better but not turn it into a prize winning bud unless he knows magic

everyone has forgotten the basic reason shit weed is shit weed. A). it's usually seeded. (bad grower/ing?) B). handled and packaged poorly. C). genetics.

i've grown bagseed that blew me away, and that was on par with the genetics i'd paid for. if you grow it right (sensi) you aren't taking energy away from trich production for seed production. if you don't compress it, and package it right, you don't lose 1/2 the trich's to the baggie. brick weed being a prime example. while genetics play a factor, they aren't as big as the 1st 2 imo.

anyone ever grown some bag seed from some crappy weed and got some dank?
i have. my first grow ever when i was about 20 and it was done entirely on a windowsill using nothing but the sun's natural schedule. the seeds were from mexi schwag with more seeds than bud and that nasty ass smell and taste when it burns. keeping in mind that i was a noob, using mg soil and nutes at full strength, and probably chopped 2 weeks early, the smoke i got was fucking KILLER. it was one of the healthiest plants i have ever seen despite my idiocy at the time. no one and i mean no one would ever suspect the plant was grown from a seed from very shitty weed. i have a theory that a lot of mexican schwag seeds are f1 and have the hybrid vigor. i mean they just take random ass seeds from god knows where and spread them over a field and let them all interbreed. you don't usually get 35 seeds from a single bud off a hermie.

My first and only grow was 2 bagseed and it wasnt the dankest bud ever but i sold some of it and for a pretty normal price...25/50. As long as you know what you're doing it will turn out pretty decent. I mean you're obviously not gonna grow a plant that sprouts shitty brown compressed buds that are in brick form and full of seeds lol.
