what makes a plant grow just one leaf

i have a clone that after it took root it started growing branches with just one leaf, not 5 like it is suppose to have 6 branches and they al;ll have one leaf?

i had a 7 leave mother and after cutting 18 clones they all had 3 leaves and still do now 1 month in flowering stage..

Its perfectly normal - you clones were from a flowering plant and are revegging most likely.
Don't worry about it, it'll fix up in a week or two.
