what light set up would you use for this system

K, guys im getting the WaterFarm Controller Kit

but cant figure out which lighting set up would be best.

Please offer some suggestions.

Im low on cash and need something effective yet low on cost.

1000 watts ?

I read some were that all you needed was 74 watts per plant, so I thought that a 600 watt would be perfect for 8 plants.

I was looking into getting a hood that could hold one MH and one HPS light, but i see now that they have bulbs that are both MH and HPS, you just need to hit a switch to change it.

Can i skip the CFL and just us MH then switch to HPS ?

but you have 8 buckets. those need to be spaced out

general rule of thumb when it comes to HID lighting is:

2x2 for 400watts
5x5 for 600watts
8x8 for 1kwatts

Agreed, that set up takes up a large space!

You can even see in the photo how spread out the buckets are going to have to be.
