What kind of wire do I need for TD-100X?

Just got my TD-100x but it does not come w/ power wire. It says it needs a 120V 60Hz VAC but when I google shop that a bunch of different stuff comes up..

help :/

Take a heavy duty extension cord and cut the end off and wire it up.

120 is the volts, the AMPS is what the real issue is. How many amps an object draws relates to how heavy a wire you need. 20 amps..12 gauge wire. 15 amps.. 14 gauge.

I doubt that fan draws more than 4-5 amps so even a thin extension cord will work something around 14 or 16 gauge wire. If you have any romex around you can buy a plug to attach at HD for about $4.

there's not a cheaper way than getting a "heavy duty extension cord"? Any kind of extension cord will work??

I thoiught a computer power cable would work, but i opened it up to find a blue, redish, and a yellow/green wire

Yeah, PC power cables are heavy duty, grounded, and about free. I use these for my fans..
