What kind of pots are the best for outdoor?

I have some black plastic potting containers for my outdoor plant to be transplanted into next. I was wondering if root pouches are better than the black plastic containers. I've heard that the containers can get hot and hurt the root growth but I don't know if this is true or not. Let me know what you think is the best container for outdoor growing and why! First time grower!

I think straight in the ground is best. But I use containers also for mobility. I grabbed these from home Depot for 10 bucks each. They are 30 gallons and working great so far.
